Breathe it in everyone… after an excruciating nine days without hockey the Everett Silvertips are BACK at it tonight. It was a good sweep of Portland - one I chronicled here, but with a sweep came over a week of no hometown hockey.
But that’s in the past - and the countdown is now on until we all make the journey to downtown Everett tonight to watch this battle between the #1 seeded Everett Silvertips and the #4 seed Kelowna Rockets. Oh man - a battle between two of the bigger teams in the Western Conference, two teams who lay hard hits, and potentially the two most potent scorers in the league (pictured above) in Tij Iginla and Carter Bear.
The memorial cup-hosting Rockets made quick work of their rival Kamloops in the first round, sweeping them in convincing fashion.
